TOPIC : THE GRACE PERIOD
Scripture :Genesis 7: 10. And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.
Beloved, I welcome you to another Moment of Daily Encounter with the word of His Grace! The grace of God has a time frame within which it is ordained to function maximally. So today we will be looking at the topic, ‘Grace Period’ as the church of Jesus.
What is the grace period?
It a period of time within which if you meet up with your obligations there is no penalty or cancellation of what has been provided!
The era we are in according to church prophecy is the era of grace, but this grace is not forever, it will soon expire. If you can meet up with the demands of grace now, it will work for you because grace is surplus now! Do you need grace for salvation, it is available. Grace to serve in any capacity is available now. But a time is coming shortly, when the grace will no longer be available to you, at that time you will look for grace and not find because it has expired.
How to know we are in the grace period?
The scripture says so:
John 1: 17. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
*How do I know grace will soon expire* ?
The scripture reveals this also:
Matthew 24: 15. When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
The happenings around the world and around us point to the fact that this era of grace will soon expire. The wars, killings, earthquake, pandemic, the rate of abomination, the crime rate, the rate of ingratitude, rape etc all support the fact that we are in our grace period.
Was there any biblical example of grace period? Yes!
1.Noah ministered for 120years but no one believed him. When Noah entered the Ark, an extra period of grace was given for 7days.(Genesis 7: 10).
The door of the ark was not shut until after the 7days of the grace period expired. The rain began and the entire world perished. What happened to the grace of God as at that time, it had expired for that generation.
Similarly, the church of Jesus Christ awaits the rapture any moment from now. After the rapture, there will be no more mercy, no more grace! This is the time to embrace Jesus for those who are yet to be saved.
2. In the days of Zedekiah the king of Judah, Jeremiah preached for 30years nobody repented until Nebuchadnezzar came and took them away to Babylon (Jer.24:1).
3. Jesus wept over Jerusalem because she did not understand her time of grace would soon expire. Jesus gave them a prophecy that later happened in the year AD70(Luke19:41-44)!
History has it that in AD70 General Titus laidy a siege around Jerusalem that led to the destruction of one million Jews as well as the second Temple. What happened to grace then? It had expired!
It was William Shakespeare that said “All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players: they have their exits and their entrances; and one man in his time plays many parts, his acts being seven ages”.
Beloved, every mortal man on earth is limited by time, no man lives here forever. So also the grace upon every man, is time bound! It has a period it must be put to use, this is what I mean by grace period for service! God gave you grace to serve Him in one capacity or the other but you have literally tied down that grace!
There are those who said when I get married or when I get a job or when I finish giving birth or when I have a better job etc that’s when I will deploy the grace upon my life to serve God, No! Whatever you have been given grace to do, do it now because you do not have eternity to fulfill destiny.
Remember this: Heaven is real, hell is real, where have you decided to spend eternity?
Prayer points:
– Father thank you for your word to me today,.
– Lord, help me to deploy the grace you have given to me before my grace period is over in Jesus name.
Prophetic Declaration:
– I prophesy the grace upon your life will not be wasted in the name of Jesus.
– Receive fresh enthusiasm for kingdom assignment in the name of Jesus
