Jesus The Bread Of Life

_And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst. John 6:35 NKJV_
Jesus said, _”I am the bread of life…”_ This is a statement that the normal mind will never accept the same way the Jews found His statement unbelievable and unacceptable, but it was a powerful statement from the mouth of the Master, and the absolute truth.
How could a person say, _*”I am the bread of life?”*_ It was hard for them to accept because, by calling Himself the bread of life, He is saying I am edible, I can be eating and my flesh can be consumed as food the same way the children of Israel ate the manna in the wilderness.
The Jews remembered the story of their fathers eating manna in the wilderness; manna was the miraculous food that God fed the people with in the wilderness, with no food ever like it. The people made reference to the manna, demanding from Jesus, a sign in order for them to believe that He was sent by God the same way Moses was sent and gave them manna to eat as a sign that God sent Him, and did many signs.
The Jews thought manna was the bread from heaven, but Jesus said no, manna wasn’t the bread from heaven, _*”I am the true bread that came down from heaven…”*_ He went further to explain something to them about the manna and the true bread that came down from heaven: the manna didn’t give those who ate it life because, it was not the true bread, all the people who ate the manna died, that’s why it’s not the true bread, because the true bread should give life to people, and keep them from dying.
Jesus is the bread that we all need, all He wants from us is to come to Him, and believe in Him; coming to Him will end every hunger, both spiritual and physical, because He will meet every of your need; while believing in Him will end all your thirst. These are the basic things every man needs for survival, bread and water.
Prayer
_Precious Lord Jesus, you are the bread of life, you gave me life and cause me to live, and to continue to live forever; you strengthen me, and filled me with yourself and your wisdom; I thank you my Lord and Master._
