Honor: A Doorway to Grace
TOPIC : HONOUR: THE CHEAPER WAY TO GRACE
SCRIPTURE : Romans 13: 7. Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.
Beloved, I welcome you to another Moment of Daily Encounter! I learned by experience that one of the easiest ways to experience grace cheaply is the path of honour. Honour to God, to system and honour to man . I have seen children that dishonoured their parents without knowing they are sowing seeds that will later return to them in pains and regret. How can you despise your parents, disregard them, insult them and one day you too hope to be a parents to someone? Remember for sure harvest will always be greater than be the seed! The law will definitely catch up with you. Today, we are examining honour as a seed you can sow to attract grace upon your life.

Some years ago, I had a son in the Lord who understood the secret of honour. So anytime the service was over, he will run down and kneel down asking me to bless him. He will always request, “Daddy just lay your hands on my head” and whatever money he has on him then he will beg me to collect it. He kept on doing that until grace was transferred to him. It was later on, I understoodd that the young man was actually looking for the grace of God upon my life, he had received grace for miracles, signs and wonder but he lacked the grace to teach the word of God. His humility combined with honour paved the way for every other grace to flow into his life. Today, he is doing exploits for the kingdom, just because he understood what it is to honour grace.
What is honour?
According to Merriam Webster dictionary honour means to show appreciation, respect, or affection for (someone) with a public celebration. Honour also means to show regards, to hold someone with high esteemed both in your heart and in the public.
The heart and honour;
Jeremiah 17: 9. The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? 10. I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
Honour begins with discernment! You must be able to identify those who deserve to be honoured in your heart, then come publicly to show you honour that person. Please note that, if you don’t honour an individual in your heart, all the public show of accolades or respect is a waste of effort. The primary place honour begins from is your heart.
Most people honour men in the public, but dishonour them in their heart. God is not only interested in public show of honour, He is also interested in the honour in your heart (Jer. 17:9, 1Sam. 2:3)

Why do we honour grace?
1.It is because what you don’t honour your don’t deserve.
- What you kick against will run away from you.
- What you don’t celebrate you don’t attract.
How do we honour? - With our heart
- With our words
- With our substance. It is called honorarium. Please note, God watches our hearts before any action of giving a gift or saying a word to honour someone. God weighs your action if truly you are mocking or you are honouring (1Sam.2:3). This is why you can hang around a heavy grace for years yet the grace is not profiting you. The carrier of the grace could be your class mate, it could be your junior, it could be your husband or wife, it could be your child, it could be your friend or neighbours. All you need to do is just honour grace and the vessel that carry the grace you desire, with your heart, with your seed, it will definitely flow into your life.
Remember this: Heaven is real, Hell is real your choice on earth determines where you will spent eternity.
Prayer points:
- Father thank you for your word to me today,
- Lord, I receive grace to honour the vessels carrying my desired grace in Jesus name.
Prophetic Declaration : - I prophesy, the willingness to honour grace, be released upon you today in Jesus name.
- May you not miss the vessels God has ordained for your lifting in life in Jesus name.
Your lifting has come
From your brother Alex
God bless you.
