EVERYTIME YOU ENTER INTO COMPETITION, YOU LOSE YOUR POSITION

1. Deep humility.
   Saul was deeply humble.

WHY DO WE KNOW SAUL WAS HUMBLE?

A. Humility made him receive advice from a slave. He received counsel from a slave.
B. Deep humility made him to refuse to admit that he was influential. 1 Samuel 9:20-21. A rich man son saying he is a non-entity. There are so many of us today, we have not become anything but we have made the world and God to know that we are something so God says ‘I can’t do nothing with you.’ 1 Samuel 9:3.
I have seen people who have not seen one-tenth of what God has caused some of his servants in this country and abroad to see yet shoulders are ‘high.’

C. Deep Humility made him to hide when it was time to go into hiding. 1 Samuel 10:20-24.
God resisted the proud and giveth grace to the humble. 1 Samuel 15:17. The oil does not look for the head of bosses, it looks for the heads of servants. When you were small in your own eye.

Do you want to remain with oil? Remain small in your own eyes. Do you want the anointing to continue, don’t ever become big in your own eyes.

Avoid the showmanship ministry style. Avoid that showmanship celebrity kind of lifestyle that makes you look as if you are competing with some basketball stars or football stars or worldly politicians or something. When you were small in your own eyes that is when the anointing located you, now that you have become big, the anointing has relocated.

Out challenge is that many people don’t have the oil anymore and they are not aware, it’s the shaft they have now and they move like Samson and they themselves are not aware that the spirit has left them.

When the power is out, the fan is still turning. There are people who raise the dead years ago, that can’t raise a fly now.

WHAT WAS THE CHALLENGE OF SAUL

1. His Loss of Humility. 1 Samuel 15:17
2. His Lack of Value for Counsel. He was not hearing the Lord anymore. 1 Samuel 13:8-10
3. His Lack of Complete Obedience. 1 Samuel 15:14-15. Incomplete obedience is disobedience and delayed obedience is disobedience.
4. His Crave to Please the People. 1 Samuel 13:9, 1 Samuel 15:15. When you are addicted to pleasing people, you must be rejected from divine purpose.
5. His Proneness to Rebellion. Rebellion is doing what you want, irrespective of what authority says. 1 Samuel 15:23.
6. His Allowance of Bitterness and Competitive jealousy. 1 Samuel 18:9. Everytime you enter into competition, you lose your position. You will not be rewarded for how much you did but for doing the will of God.
7. His Consultation of Familiar Spirits. 1 Samuel 28:7. His started his journey by hearing from God, he ended his journey by hearing from the devil. He started his journey by consulting God, he ended it by consulting with the devil. Any level of desperation that will make you look for demon power to serve God, let that desperation lead you out of ministry. It is better than the devil is speaking to you and you are speaking to people.

Don’t ever go to native doctor to look for money, if God can’t give you, you don’t need it. Don’t ever go to native doctor to look for protection.

The devil does not have any free gift. Don’t attend church on Sunday and herbalist on Friday. The devil does not have a free gift. He gives you an apple, and the apple can carry cancer.

Don’t be over envious of people because not all that glitters is gold. All the shining things they are having not everything came from God. You might not know the complete story.
