The evil will bow before the good, And the wicked at the gates of the righteous.Proverbs 14:19 NKJV
The Bible tells us that righteousness exalts, it exalts the one who is righteous, and also exalts the nation; what that mean is that, righteousness brings honour, it dignifies, and elevates the righteous; it makes him great and powerful to an extent that all evil and wicked men and women come bowing down to the him who is righteous. The righteous is the good.
Our scriptural text says, “The evil will bow before the good, And the wicked at the gates of the righteous.” That is how God has ordained it to be, that the righteous remain superior to the wicked, and to the evil men and women; that means, by God’s design, the evil men and women, the wicked men and women should always live in fear, the fear of those who are righteous, and not the other way round.
But today, we see the righteous living in fear, they are full of fears, the fear of the evil and wicked men and women, this ought not to be. Our scriptural text in the Contemporary English Version says, “The wicked will come crawling to those who obey God.” No matter how evil or wicked a person is, you should never be afraid of him or her, that is if you are the righteous; if you are not righteous, you are not the good, and that means you have every reason to be afraid of the evil and wicked men; but if you truly are righteous, then there’s no reason to fear, never have any fear of the evil and the wicked in your heart, because they must come crawling to you.
There are people who are afraid of arm robbers, they are afraid that they might break in to their houses and steal their things, but how can they break in to your house and steal when the Bible says they should bow at your gate? In the Amplified Classic, our text says, “The evil men bow before the good, and the wicked [stand suppliantly] at the gates of the [uncompromisingly] righteous.” They can come to the area if they want, and enter other houses, but when they come to your gate, they will not be able to come in, they will bow there, paying tribute to you. In The Passion Translation, it says, “Evil ones will pay tribute to good people and eventually come to be servants of the godly.”
Have this mindset, if any evil or wicked person comes to your area, be it a thief or a ritualist, it is never for them to hurt you, but to pay homage, pay tribute to you. They might come with evil intentions, but as they come close, their will be a change, their evil intentions will turn to the fear of you in their hearts which will make them begin to fear you and seek that you be kind to them or become your servants.
#Confession
I am the righteous because I am born of God; the life and the nature of God that I have has made me the good, and because I am the good, evil bow before me always, and the wicked always stand suppliantly at my gate, unable to carry out their evil intentions against me, so no wicked or any thief can break into my house to steal anything, they are full of fears for me. Yes!
